The Yaal Vayupahavan Wind Project (Chunnakam Wind Project-II); commissioned for operation in 2020, is a Wind Energy Farm with the capacity of 10 MW, located in Thanakillapu, Jaffna.

The farm features a specification of four Wind Turbines of capacity 2.5 MW (Siemens Gamesa G114) with a hub height of 93.3 m and a rotor diameter of 114 m and double fed asynchronous generators. Cutting edge centralized monitoring and command centres closely track output and make required adjustments with minimal human intervention thus ensuring uncompromised power generation efficiency.

When operating at peak efficiency, the project will make a saving of 15,000 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions per annum.
